As parents and students go through the Solebury School admission process, transportation options are an important component in the decision to attend a school. Here are the transportation options that are available to Solebury School families.
Option 1: Public Transportation Provided by local Bucks County, Pennsylvania School Districts
The following school districts will bus students to Solebury School at no extra charge:
- Central Bucks School District
- Council Rock School District (All new students requesting transportation will be required to show District four proofs of residency)
- New Hope-Solebury School District
- Palisades School District
- Pennridge School District
Option 2: Car Pooling
There may be families from your area currently attending Solebury School, and we can assist you in creating a car pooling arrangement.
Option 3: PA/NJ Private Van Transportation
Van transportation is an option for families who are outside their public school districts that bus to Solebury School. Vans currently serve the Yardley / Newtown area in Pennsylvania and the Ewing, Hopewell, Pennington, Trenton, Princeton, Flemington and Frenchtown areas in New Jersey.
We will review the locations of those who are interested and develop preliminary routes, stops and times for your consideration, based on how best to accommodate the number and location of riders. Stops will be at designated pick-up and drop off points or door to door, depending on a variety of factors. Morning pick up times will be arranged to arrive in time for the start of classes at 8:00 a.m. Evening buses will depart Solebury at 5:30 p.m., following afternoon activities. The cost for private van transportation for the 2009-2010 school year is $4,000.
